If you want to get up to speed quickly with some of the fundamentals of BI, then this is "Dr. Chris's starter six-pack"  -- my personal recommendations of six quick reads for the plane, school pick-up line, or waiting at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. All are free downloads, but some require registration. (Be aware that some items are also teasers for the author's/company's products and services.)
